We made it to week 28! The appointment this morning went well. The girls were good for the ultrasound tech and didn't move around too much so we were able to get their readings very fast. The only thing that was noticed was a very small amount of hydrops (fluid) that is beginning to form around baby a's (tumor) heart. This can happen because of the tumor she is carrying can put some strain on her. This is something that we have looked for at each visit and knew that there was a good possibility it could happen and now it has. The amount of fluid isn't bad but we are going to look at it again on Friday morning to make sure it's not increasing. Hopefully the amount will still be very minimal on Friday and then I will be back next Tuesday 10/21 for a routine visit. Should the fluid increase, the only way to stop it will be to deliver the girls. We are praying for the best!
Back to bed rest.
Update 10/17: This morning's appointment went great. The fluid is still very minimal and no signs of fluid around any other cavities which means it is not progressing! On to week 29.
